WEEKEND BUZZ!

If all goes as planned,(and believe you me, this has been planned for months!!!), FarmgirlCyn and Farmboy will be in the sweet burbs of Chicago come Thursday afternoon till Sunday, visiting Cityfarmer Joy, with her darlin' Don!
We go back a long way, Joy and I. From a little, full gospel church in West Michigan, back in 1987, to the present. We have truly been there for each other, thru thick and thin, joy and sorrow, life and death. We have laughed together, and cried together. Told each other our deepest longings, our deepest fears, our deepest sorrows.
And we still love each other.
"Iron sharpens iron", the Word of God says. And that has been true for us. We sharpen each other. We say things that might hurt, but brings eventual healing. We say things out of love, for the Word of God says "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails."
I love you, Joy.

Best friends forever

Bridal Shower!

Our oldest daughter, Giselle, was given a bridal shower by her 3 sisters last week!
We just love bridal showers, but Giselle, not wanting to be the center of attention, had serious doubts about one.
Her sisters didn't give a hoot what Giselle thought!

Giselle's fiance John, came just in time to watch her open presents.

Yummy brunch at the University Club.

Silly games which everyone participated in, including the bride-to-be, pictured here with her sisters and myself.

Giselle and Marcia, her future mom-in-law.

Rachel, the winner of the toilet paper brides dress game!

To FarngirlCyn, family is the most important thing in the world, next to the Lord.
We are expecting great things from this couple, as..."Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow...Again, if two lie together, then they have heat, but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him, and a threefold cord is not quickly broken." Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

God bless you both!

I am a winner!!!

A few weeks ago I entered a contest of sorts by a fellow blogger I have come to know, Marne, of "hey lucy"
AND I WON!

Look at all my fabulous prizes!
My favorites are the little yellow chickie, which is how I came to find Marne...(our love for the little chooks brought us together), and the CD, with some of the most fun music I have heard in a while! My favorite song in there is by the "Ditty Bops" called "Wishful thinking".
The papers she created are also wonderful, as was the chocolate!

Thanks Marne!
