Country Mouse/City Mouse

The country mouse has taken a job in the big city...

Starting this week I will be the lunch hostess for my CSA farm's brand spankin' new restaurant, Trillium Haven, located in the center of Grand Rapids.

Anja. the farmer's wife and  owner of the new restaurant contacted me a few weeks ago and asked if I would be interested. Having worked for her over the past 5 years as her assistant at the farm, I was more than interested!

A chance to interact with a lot of the folks I know from the farm, plus meeting and getting to know so many others...well...
it is right up my alley!

Nervous excitement is what I'm feelin'.

For those that are inclined to pray...please do.
I need all the help I can get!

In Christ alone,
Cindy

This is so exciting for you! And it's not just any restaurant, but an extension of a CSA farm! Sounds good. I will pray for you ~smile~.

I love the photo of you and your husband--you both look great!

How exciting! I worked in restaurants a lot in my 20's and I always had so much fun.

What a terrific opportunity! It does sound like a most enjoyable job, plus being surrounded by people you are familiar with and the chance to make new friends too. Cindy you'll be a natural. Best wishes, Julie.

All the very best with this new opportunity Cyn. Trillium Haven sounds like my kind of eatery. Having recently started up my own little business out of the home and at the markets I have been meeting lots of people and making new friends. Last weekend I was paid for doing something that I love ... setting a table with pretty china! It's exciting and the little bit of extra income is appreciated. I'm just having to ensure I don't let it become too time consuming because it does have the potential to take me out of the home more often than I would like so I'm having to say no to some requests. You've reminded me that I need to pray about my venture too. Look forward to hearing about what unfolds.
