MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA

Our thoughts and prayers to those who lost family and friends on that horrible day, 5 years ago. May we turn our hearts to the only true comforter, Jesus Christ.

Everybody knows someone who knew someone who knew someone else...I will never forget even our phone conversation as together we watched the second tower being hit...tears are always very close to the surface...we watched again in horror last night during a documentary about one of the particular fire stations and their men...coming and going for days on no sleep, little food, and plenty of emotions...grown men weeping.
Lest we forget the passengers on board the aircrafts...so many people and families...I am confidents that souls have been brought to Jesus through all of this pain and heartache.

"I am the Lord God and I change not"

So true, it seems everyone you talk to remembers exactly what they were doing during those horrible hours that day.

For us, Nick and I were at a heart specialists office waiting for our daughter Jackie's check-up appt. They had a TV on in the waiting room and everyone sat quietly and watched in horror!!

A day of prayer for sure.

I remember thinking that I just needed to go get my kids and hold them tight. Now 5 years later it amazes me that this is something they are learning in school. History that I was a part of and they are just now learning about. It all seems so strange and so far away. For them to come home from school and tell me what they learned and for me to say, "I remember exactly where I was on that day..." History is a powerful thing, isn't it?

Amen...I felt like Pam..I wanted my children with me...a mother's instinct I suppose when danger and evil threatens. I will hold those who weren't able to go home that night to their families in my heart and prayers always...May the Comforter our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ hold them close.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love it when new people stop by for the first time. Yes, Sept 11th will always be remembered!! Have you seen the movie, "World Trade Center"? I love the way that they brought in Jesus into the movie!!
