SOUPS ON!

QUICK CHICKEN-LEMON SOUP
with a teeny, tiny glass of Pinot Grigio, just for the photo, of course
(You don't really think I would try to pour that bitty amount back into the bottle, now, do you???)

We have yet another winner from "PATRICIA WELLS AT HOME IN PROVENCE".
So far we're "two for two", and it just keeps getting better! Today I wanted something light and refreshing for lunch...something to match the fabulous weather we have had the past two days. (mid 40's, and lots of sunshine...YAY!!)
This was so delicious, I can hardly talk about it.
So simple, a child could do it.
Basic ingredients nearly everyone would have on hand, and done in less than 30 minutes!!
It should have served 4.
It did not.
I shared the pot with farmboy, and kept out a measly cup so the rest of the family could have a taste.
Hands down...it's a keeper.
As a matter of fact,I think I'm gonna scrounge around the pantry for some more chicken stock, and have a go at it again later this week!

As a side note, I don't know about copyrights and all that stuff, so I haven't posted recipes that I haven't tweaked in some way or another. Does anybody know if that's a "no-no"? (the posting it part, not the tweaking it part!)
Cause really, I would LOVE for you all to try this!

hey there farmgirlcyn, the soup does look fantastic, nice tease. I've been back and forth up and down in and out of your blog today trying to piece together your story and your relationships with your blogging friends. Its a bit hard coming into it from this end. I wanted to know YOUR story of how you met the Lord and I can't quite find it. Is there an archive story I'm missing? Well, in the mean time I've delighted in your obvious love for your family especially farmboy and also your love for the Lord.

Lovella, bits & pieces of my story are all over my blog...Aug.6, 2005, and Feb, 2006("it's my birthday" post) are a couple I found. In a nutshell...lost, then found. I mean really lost. Like headed for divorce, lost. Then found. Miraculously found. With farmboy following 3 months later! God is good!

That soup looks great! I`m not sure on copy writes either. But I think and hope it`s okay as long as where the recipe came from is mentioned.

That looks so good... can't wait to give it a try! As far as posting recipes, I think it is fine as long as you mention the source. I usually tweak recipes just a bit, but either way I think you can post as long as the source is sited.

BTW - I answered your question about the basic bread dough recipe on my blog in the comments section. Let me know if that makes sense!

I'll be right over Cyn! The soup looks delicious! :) ( what brand of pinot?)

It looks creamy. Is there cream in it? You can't beat chicken soup! Yum. We had "rescued" chicken and rice. Chicken from my disasterous etouffee! hehe. Glad your recipes are coming out better than mine!

Bella Sera is the name of the Pinot Grigio. I don't normally buy Pinot Gris, but my step-dad and Farmboy happened to be at the grocers, and step-dad purchased the wine that day. It was a good choice, tho, for the soup!

The soup lools lovely - but is that alol the wine that goes with it?
