Just wishin' and hopin', and thinkin' and prayin', and plannin' and dreamin'...

Line dried and smellin' sweet!

Ah yes....I remember it well.

The peak of summer perennial garden

It's all coming back to me...

Constance Spry rose

Has it really been 8 years since we planted her?

Love a spot of yellow in the gardens

It's not summer till the gang is in the pool!

Hard to imagine right now, as this same pool is filled with snow and ice

THIS is what I'm hungry for

If you've been eating anything that even faintly resembles a tomato recently, than you must share my vision for what is to come.
Red (or orange, or green or golden yellow) ripe tomatoes, fresh off the vine, warm in your hands, sliced on a plate with just a sprinkling of salt and pepper...
Does it get any better than that?

I can almost feel it.
Almost smell it.
Can nearly taste it.
It's just around the proverbial corner.

Can you tell?
I am sick.
Spring Fever has hit our farmette.
And there is no known cure...
except time.

So till it's time has come...

I am wishin' and hopin'...
and thinkin' and prayin'...
and plannin' and dreamin'...

xoxo,
Cindy

I remember back and every winter I had a bout of Spring Fever. But now I am cured of it as long as I stay in the sunny south.

Love your rose bush!!! Last year a friend of ours gave us a cuting of her rose bush, and I managed to kill it with little-to-no effort on my part. Yours is lovely!

Hi Cindy! Thank you so much for that comment back at 'my place.'
This song soooo very deeply moved me this morning. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it.
I had to find it on playlist.com

It's funny you have a pic of laundry here today! The sun came out for an hour this afternoon...and we all fled our homes to walk in it! I'm looking at our little patches of garden space and there's about 4' of snow on it! You lil' sweet pea seeds are down there ... thinking of them ~ wishing for them!
Take Care dear ♥ Maria

Laundry on the line, how great is that! I just discovered your very fun blog and noticed that you are following some lovely Swedish blogs. I'm from Sweden, but have lived here most of my life. But I love to see what's going on in Sweden. Lots of snow there right now.

Boy did I need that memory refresher...especially today!! Major case of Spring Fever with me today and it is really starting to get me down. The clothes flying in the wind was a favorite!! I can smell my sheets already ,,perhap I could try hanging them out now, but I think they would freeze and break into a thousand pieces. I need some Sunshine in a major way!! :)

oh noooooooooooooo! you too? so many coming down with this fever!!!
Loved the pics and oh to taste a warm sweet home-grown tomato. The greenhouse ones from the stores in the wintertime are just bleh...
Oh come spring... I love to go out and pick the sweet little grape tomatoes and just be a PIG! yummy.
Love the photo of the sheets flapping in the wind. May all of us be healed of this "fever" soon!!! Enjoyed visiting!

I want a garden like THAT!!!
I love the first picture of the white laundry. Reminds me of a dream I had last year about a large white sheet just billowing down to earth without wrinkle or spot and just hovered about the ground a few feet and I remember taking notice of its all four corners! Hummmm! Christ coming?

Sweet friend, it's all on it's way...
Wonderful, as long as the clothsline doesn't break. I remember that too. :)
What a time it all was.

I just popped over to your blog for a big catch up as I haven't stopped by in a while - just been too busy with baby but I recall you left me a comment a while back and wanted to say thank you and wish you well on your road to recovery! We are going into Autumn but it is still hot and this is Australia and where I live if you put your thumb in the ground it would grow! At the moment we are harvesting bananas!
I know bananas are heavily sprayed and to be able to grow our own knowing no chemicals went near them is just sheer delight and they taste as sweet as candy! I noted that mangoes were on the 'better' list in your previous post - commercially grown mangoes are irradiated here as is garlic that comes from China. Just something else to peruse at the market. Not sure if this happens to your mangoes. I'm praying for my mangoes to grow to maturity and still using my bumper crop of garlic from last year - the good, strong Italian garlic - love it!

Spring fever is in full swing here too. I was finally overcome when enough snow melted that I can see where my garden is. If I can see it, something should be growing in it. Right?

Actually I'm right in the middle of harvesting tomatos at the moment - maybe you should migrate for winter!

Your home is absolutely gorgous - as is the garden!

It will be especially nice for you , you will be healed completely from your knee surgery and feeling wonderful...here comes an active summer for you.JOY!

Now I am craving homegrown tomatoes and summer.

In regards to my chicken thighs, I don't remember how much they cost a pound but the package of 5 organic boneless, skinless thighs from Trader Joe's was about $5. TJ's has great free range and organic fruits, veggies and meat and they aren't very expensive.

Hi Cyn,

You've already received tons of comments, but I just wanted to say that I love your pictures! What a sweet house--very "cottage-y", and your flowers remind me of an English country garden!

I've enjoyed the winter, but now I can feel spring just around the corner. I'll be planting indoor seedlings this weekend!

Hugs and blessings,
Brenda

I soooo want spring. The weather warmed 2 weeks ago - I started thinking garden... It's supposed to be below freezing for the next week. Grrrrr......
Well, a girl can dream....

Isn't spring such a happy season?? (Course I say that about the beginning of every season!) LOL
Your lovely pics put a smile on my face - glad you're up and around and feeling a bit better. Are you glad you had the replacement? I'm still trying to weigh the pro's and con's. Can you move as well as you could before your replacement? I worry that my new knee won't be as stable as my "own" knee (I LOVE playing tennis and being athletic.) My pain is starting to be a real motivating factor for me to head towards the surgery though. I'm finding this growing "up and older" business to be a bit of a bummer! :)
