The roof is on folks, and as you can see, it's a doozy. Farmboy thought a fiberglass roof was in order, hence the "see-through". What we're hoping for is lots of daylight, even during the dreary midwest winter, to keep those hens laying. (lying???) (never could get those right!!) It will be well insulated, as it gets mighty windy here at the "Little House On The Prairie"! It took all 4 of us to get the roof up there yesterday, so, needless to say, the doors and windows are not yet in place. The picket fencing seen in the photo will be the coop. We will need to fortify it with chicken wire all around, and over the top. Can't have CHICKEN HAWKS taking my chicken family! It's lots of work, building my hen house. And don't, even for a minute, think Farmgirl Cyn isn't very grateful to Farmboy. Know what I mean???
Love,
Cyn
