MITTEN ACCOMPLISHED!!!

I DID IT!
I actually finished a knitting project that involved more than just a straight line!
Took a class last week, (see previous post) and had to go back to the shop twice for a knitting intervention, but finally finished my project. I felted them last evening and set them on the front porch to dry overnight. I am thrilled to have learned something new. Keeps my mind active and thinking. So many new things to try, so little time.
I am setting my hand to another pair this evening, as once I learn something new, I want to do it again as soon as possible, so as not to lose the groove. Don't think I will felt the new pair, though I love the fact that I can make some really major mistakes and felting covers them up!

They look great! Good for you! Like most things, learning to knit just happens one step at a time. Pretty soon it won't look like Greek, but will actually make sense :o)

What yarn did you use? It's pretty!

Good job! That is quite an accomplishment, something to pass on for the next generation to learn too. I never learned to knit, but I do crochet...only dishcloths though. What is "felt"?

Awesome mittens!!!

I've done a wee bit of knitting, but not much. My greatest feet in knitting is 3 hats I knit and felted. I used hand spun wool for them, some I'd spun when first learning this craft. I do plan to learn to knit so I can use up more of the yarns I spin, but never seem to have time to learn... lol. I had thought I'd use the yarns for weaving, and have done so with some of them and will with more eventually, but I have been weaving some things that are better done without wool.

Keep up the good knitting. I must admit I've forgotten how I knit the hats a few years ago, lol.
