How DOES my garden grow?
Not too bad, considering we had an unexpected 6" of snow dumped on us less than one week ago!
One of my favorites: fuzzy Lambs Ear. It has the most unusual flower later in the summer, with a muted lavender color. Spreads like crazy, and is always one of the first perennials up in the spring. That alone is worthy of high praise!
Yellow Yarrow...another perennial favorite. I have other colors of yarrow growing in the perennial garden, but the yellow is my favorite. So cheery and bright, it is a welcome sight in and amongst the pinks and purples that predominate here.
How is YOUR garden growing?
This week I am sowing cilantro, salad bowl lettuce, and lots and lots of white alyssum!

I have those same perenials in my garden. The world becomes a much smaller place through blog land.
Happy seed sowing.
I've had a lot of things coming up then we dot over a foot of snow. That melted but today it is snowing and very windy! I am more than ready to get in the garden!
I lost a lot of my herbs over the winter - too damp and rainy, I think.
So, I have mint, chives, garlic chives, oregano, marjoram and bay plus lots of spring flowers.
And lots and lots of weeds. They, apparently, liked the winter damp.
So the thing I couldn't identify is yarrow - thanks!
We have a little green here and there. It is trying to pop up through the snow!!!
Lucky you, Cyn! I have day lilies coming up, and some forsythia about to bloom.
Last years seed are all up...poppies, cosmos...and white allysum....simply cannot wait...heaing out to the gardens tomorrow...
"I come to the garden alone"....
