AND SHE PONDERED THESE THINGS IN HER HEART...

Cyn and Austin, and Beau the doofus dog.

Perhaps it's just that time of year...new beginnings and all.
But...
Cyn has been pondering a lot lately.
There has been much going on here.
Things I am not at liberty to share at the present time.
Hard things.
Heartbreaking things.
So I have entered a season of pondering.
Considering carefully, so the dictionary says.
I have many new years resolutions, as most of us do.
Lose that 10# gained in the last 9 months.
Eat healthier. (see above)
Be more patient. Kind. Loving. Long-suffering.
FORGIVING those that have hurt me. (big one...walking in forgiveness. Cause if I can't forgive others HE cannot forgive me!)
But mostly, I am considering carefully.
Considering the words which I speak.
Considering the witness for Jesus that I claim to be.
Considering my commitment to my family and what it means to truly be an intercessor.
Considering my prayers for the government, our president, and the upcoming election.
(Cause for the 1st time since I've had the privilege of voting, I'm not so sure I can cast my vote with a clear conscience this year....so this might be the 1st time I do not vote in the presidential election).
Lots on my mind.

What's on YOUR mind as we enter 2008?

I occasionally stop by your blog and enjoy your postings very much. And you are not alone in your ponderings...maybe it is the time of year. All I know is that the older I get the more pondering I do, considering how I what want the rest of the time that God gives me here on planet Earth to look like. I'm sorry to hear that there is sorrow in your life and I pray that God will send some of his good people to encourage you.

HEY cutie pie! I love what you wrote here, and have been myself more consciencious (sp) of what I say to others... I know a bit most likely only a tiny bit, about what you are living with at the moment and have thought of you everyday since knowing, prayers too of course, ya know at the moment? I feel a kinship with you, as I go through some of those same things as you* I'm pondering lots and lots myself...well are you getting the same pretty snow I'm getting right now? Love this picture of you and your guy! xo

Same here...may not vote. People say that is the worst thing you can do.
Using our gifts...we can't go wrong! Although it sure won't be easy...I saw a paraplegic whose only movement was his arm/elbow...ringing up and down...using his only ability for others. I was blown away as I entered Kroger...and laughed on my way out as his hand was in a bag of chips instead of ringing the bell!!!

I'm thinking about cat nip, string, and naps.
You look like a nice lady. Your cats are pretty fine too. They are welcomed to come visit my place anytime they want to get off the farm.

I think at this time of the year that we are all pondering things in one way or the other. The beginning of a new year and wondering what it will bring.

This was a great post. I do hope that the hard things in your life become easier. Blessings to you and your family in this new year!

Great picture BTW!!

I really could have a great deal of this post copied and pasted to my own. I wish I could give you a hug. I really do.
I'll pray for you as the Lord brings you to my mind.

((((hugs))) from here too. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
Pondering going on here in Utah too.
This election is a quandry isn't it. I agree with you totally. There isn't one that I think is worth voting for, really. Sad.

{{{Hugs}}} What a wise woman you are. God has blessed you with Wisdom and the ability to step back and re-group..all for His glory. I wish you peace on your journey.

I am looking forward, trying to re-asses my interactions with people. To stop trying to get others to do what I want them to do, Ha! Like I can really do that!! And some other small personal goals, ie no computer after the sun sets. This can help re-set the body clock, I am still not used to the sun going down so early here. But hey, that starts tomorrow right?! LOL!

Take care~

It's too early for me to consider my mind and what may be on it. At the moment...my mind is rejoicing that I can nearly see to the road and it's only 8 am. And that I need to put on my new muck boots and go outside to feed horses.

Your list, however, looks well thought out and pondered. It would be easiest if I could just share your list and save my mind the stress of coming up with a list of my own. You don't mind, do you?

Wow! You are definitely pondering a lot! I, too, think alot however...I think i can sum up all I intend on doing by focusing it on one thing...Christ's love. Feeling it, sharing it, treasuring it, spreading it, embracing it. Everything else should fall into place. May we all be the people God wants us to be this year! :)

Go Hillary 08!

HAHAHAHA Just kidding!!!

Thanks for commenting on my beautiful princess! Can't stop kissing either of them! Just makes me want more!

Happy new year!

PS - I will be/am contemplating motherhood - a new little one is bringing me back to my "roots" as far as returning to any ways of mothering I disconnected from as life got going with Aidan.
A new little one is like another fresh start - a return to the intentionality of mothering that I want to exhibit so badly.

I've been pondering a lot myself Cyn... Deep pondering and reflection..praying an awful lot too, wondering where to go..what to do.... I do trust, though, that He is right here with me guiding me all the way. I hope I don't resist too much the way He may want me to go like sometimes I do.

BTW, you will have to check out my daughter's latest...??..lesson learned? :-)

Heard Third Day singing and it sounds so good Cyn.
I will share my thoughts this New Year, that I shared with my beautiful daughter, Melanie today~
I resolve to have not resolutions, as that would mean it is my will not my Heavenly Father's. I pray I will follow my Father's Will this year, and then all other things will fall into place for me. Because He said He came to give us life, and life more abundant. I pray I will listen to Him, and only Him.
God Bless, and have enjoyed your posts!
