The peas are coming in fast and furious!
Now I wish I had planted some more!
I have lots of extra seed from last year, so I am thinking I will put in a summer crop and see if they can take the heat.
The problem is, I gathered a huge pan of pea pods, only to harvest about 4 cups of actual peas.
That will be enough for a couple of meals, and that's it.
Today's picking will be going into a risotto with some scallions and perhaps some asparagus.
I LOVE SUMMER!
I have some "news" to share....soon and very soon I will be opening my very own Etsy shop! Today will be spent setting it up and loading photos of my goodies. Lots of vintage from my own, personal, private stash, plus eventually some of my homemade creations!

My "ETSY" shop is up and running! Click on the Etsy button on the top right of my blog and you'll have a direct link!
Now, mind you, I am just getting started. It is a slow process, but I plan on working on it for the next few days.
Enjoy!

Wow... Those peas look del-ish! I love them with sauteed onions in olive oil! mmmm
We didn't grow peas this year... I'd better check our local farmer's markets!
Cyn, it's 62 degrees here in upstate, NY... I usually like it cool... but I've got my sweatshirt hoodie on this morning... it's dark and thundering again!

Peas straight from the pod always take me back to childhood.
Oooh, peas! We grow ours in the winter here, harvest in very early spring. Yummm!!
I love the shop! Such cute stuff!
Um... don't suppose you'd post a recipe for that pea-scallion risotto? :)
Congratulations on the Esty store! That's something I would aspire to do too ;)
I planted peas this year too - love 'em!
Oh mmmm...fresh peas! Unfortunately any garden that we've tried to start has been found by all of the rabbits, deer and other critters in our backyard. I'm so jealous!! I wish that we could keep a garden. *sigh*
