UNMENTIONABLES!

Sam's boxers, along with socks, shorts, and whatever else was laying on the basement floor!

I did a mess of laundry the past couple of days, taking full advantage of the HOTTER than average temps.
It has been in the upper 80's to over 90 for a few days, so the clothes are dry in less than an hour.
Sheets were the 1st thing up this morning, and I know I will sleep sweet tonight!

My vintage laundry cart, bought about 8 years ago for just a few bucks.
I love it!
No bending down to get the wet clothes, just plunk your basket in the cart and wheel it wherever you need.

Pool's open!

Tho the water temp is hovering around 70, it doesn't stop these crazy boys!
Not me!
It has to be over 80 before I get in.
Won't be long though.
We have some excellent weather forecast for the next week!

Even Krystal, our 3rd daughter, went in this afternoon!
31 weeks pregnant, but still looking for that tan!

I think it's here.
Though the calender still says it's spring, the weather is definitely summer-like.
And that is fine by me!

Have a most blessed week!

xoxo,
Cindy

Man oh man, I am looking at this blog with hot sunshiny weather implied in the pictures and stated in the post and then looking out my window and a cold downpour! Happiness really is a pool for hot summer weather, isn't it? Blessed week to you too~

I'm not far from you I don't think! Anyway, our pool temp is in the mid-70's about a foot down, but the top layer (according to my daughter) is at 80. And like you, I don't go in until it is 80 degrees! LOL Enjoy!

I've been thinking of putting up a post about my washing line but every time I go to take a picture there are 'unmentionables' pegged out - thought I couldn't possibly put up a picture of those! Maybe I could stage it and peg out some nice vintage linens to flap in the breeze and look all housewifey! Now you have done it I am not going to worry!

In my Amish culture, there never was any like unmentionables. It was not until I moved to Cookeville TN that became aware of such things. Now driving through Holmes County I almost blush when I see line upon line of unmentionables. But to the Amish it is just a way of life.

I remember the days of laundry on the line. Where we live...right off of a major street...if we hung out our laundry, between the pigeons and the cars, it would not smell sweet. Enjoyed your pictures of a wonderful country summer day! Ahhh!
