Weekend Blessings...

Sam & Amber

Sam, our only son, with his girlfriend Amber.
It was so nice to have her here for Easter dinner with us!
Isn't she a cutie patootie?

Sisters Avery and Gina

It was a beautiful sunny day so we spent most of the afternoon on the deck.
We don't get together much anymore...
everyone busy with jobs, homes, etc
so it is extra special when most of us can make it home for a holiday!

We miss our daughter Giselle, husband Jon, and our dolly of a granddaughter, Trena...
far away in Montana:(

And our other daughter Krystal and our grandson Austin...miss them, too:(

Gina...our 2nd oldest...
Where have the years gone?

Dessert!
Buttermilk Cake with Blackberries and Moscato

Find the recipe HERE over at Parisienne Farmgirl Ang's blog.

She made this cake a few years ago when we were visiting and it is SO good!
We take it over the top by adding some freshly whipped cream.

Farmboy, soaking up a bit of the sun....

He loves it when the kids are here,
(tho he is not smiling in the pic!)
He loves to hear the groans as he comes up with one pun after another.
Groan....

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods....
As for us, we are still waitin' on spring...

In His grace,
Cindy

What a lovely Easter Day you enjoyed! I must say that is one of the prettiest cakes I have ever seen, and I'm sure it tastes as good as it appears! Blessings, Julie.

We had a quiet Easter just the two of us and it was a nice change after having a houseful every weekend for weeks. But if we hadn't of had our family around us frequently lately, I'd want a weekend just like yours. What a treasure.

Your cake looks yummy. Blackberries are one of my favorites behind raspberries of course.

Looks like a beautiful Michigan sky and a sweet family day.

Thank you for e-mailing about the benzocaine; Sofia is teething and I had some orajel I tossed out immediately. Frozen washcloth will do just fine! Thank you for thinking of us. <3

Easter with family.....us too.
We are so blessed!
We too are still waiting for spring. I woke up to 6 in. of new snow this morning.....I'm trying not to let it get to me, can't change it, might as well find something to do inside (not that I have to look very hard)until I can go out and enjoy some sunshine.
Blessings!

Thanks for commenting on my fermented salsa! I appreciate the input, it's my first time ever fermenting anything! I just put the salsa in the jars and I'm letting it sit out on my counter. Thursday will make it three days so I'm going to taste test it then. Thanks again!
