I have had to switch from the squeeze bottle of dish soap to a simple pouring spout and glass bottle I picked up at Goodwill.
It's not that I can't squeeze the plastic bottle, it's just that it hurts when I do!
On the plus side...the glass bottle is a heck of a lot prettier sitting near the sink than the big green jug of Palmolive!
Can openers
I have also made the switch from a hand held can opener to electric.
No way I can use the manual opener without wincing each time.
I don't open a whole heck of a lot of cans, but when I do I want it to be pain free!
On the negative side, there is really no way to hide the black electric opener like I could with the manual one.
Oh, and you should see me try and peel a potato or a nob of ginger!
I don't think they make an electric vegetable peeler....do they???
Are there any concessions/changes you have had to make in your life because of sickness or just plain old age?
I'm not EVEN gonna talk about how I hobble around with one bad knee and one stiff knee replacement!

Oh, Cindy, I'm so sorry you are plagued with arthritis. It is not fun. I take Lubrisyn (when I remember it) and I think it helps. It makes it tolerable.

I hear ya on the arthritis! I take prescription medicine, but that only takes a slight edge off of the pain. I have it bad in my left thumb, and starting to get it in my right thumb. Just opening a jar lid can be excruciating! I have to use a piece of rubber gripper pad to help. And squeezing a bottle also makes me wince. I use a pump for the dishwashing solution. I got one of those foam containers (Dawn brand, perhaps?) and refill it with my own liquid - 5 parts water & 1 part dish soap.
With the knee replacement, I have good days and not so good days. And I can never figure out why it gets so sore sometimes! But we have to soldier on, don't we?
I am relating here Cyn, and have had to make some changes too! I am guessing my aches and pains are due to age, to which I have been fighting and kicking against!~smile~ Hope you find some natural relief and will share, as your wealth of knowledge always amazes me.
