Hand to the plow...no turning back

 59...and counting

It has been quite the year.
Good times.
Bad times.
And right now...
I've got my hand to to the plow and there's no turning back.

"I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,
I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 3:13, 14

We had this song played at my sister's funeral nearly 10 years ago.
A gentle reminder that...

This world is not my home...

In Christ alone,
Cindy

OH Cindy! I just cried and cried when I listened to Bette Midler.
It really hit me when she talked about how the house used to laugh.

What a beautiful song.

Sometimes there are good times tucked in amidst the bad ones, if you can find them.

One day at a time. Don't give up.

Happy B'Day!
You look great for 59.
I have a sis who died young too. It does make you realize how precious each day should be to us.

Just found your post after being out of town......is the 13th *really* your Birthday also?
If so.....we are twins......it's mine too~! What time were you born? We just need to figure out who's older!

Always enjoy your posts. AND I'm enjoying my wonderful soap I ordered a while back.

Hadn't heard that song before, but it's a good one! Sorry that I missed your birthday, but I was galavanting around Montana where there are no internet connections. I hope it was a good one! I turned 60 in late June and find it hard to believe. I look in the mirror and ask myself, "what in the heck happened to YOU?" LOL...

Happy Birthday you young thing! Younger than me anyway -smile-. I'll have to go to the library to listen to Bette; she's rather amazing and she and her husbands have raised an amazing daughter as well. One of those "Hollywood" success marriages.
