Closed doors should equal open windows...right?

Closed door...

I pray the old saying is true...

"When God closes a door, he always opens a window".

Cause right now all the doors are closed shut.
And locked.
Double bolted, even.

We don't make enough to qualify to rent pretty much anything out there.
Even the trailer parks say we can't afford the lot rent.
Even when the mobile home is free!
And the ghetto?
Nope...not enough to get a place even in the ghetto.

God is bigger than that.

He will have to make a way where there seems to be no way.

And that's the truth.
Pthewww.....
(that's a raspberry in case you couldn't deciper it!)

In Christ alone,
Cindy

Cindy, I just wanted to make sure you saw, read, prayed and believed that phrase again and again and again. I am so excited to see how HE deals with this -- what a TESTimony you'll have -- don't get lost looking at the TEST part :)

Continuing to hold you up to our Father!

    Blessings!

I will continue to pray. The Lord will provide. I know this because I've been in some rough places myself and he was there for me.
He will be for you too.

  14. Really, I do know your struggle, your frustrations, and the fears this must be bringing on. Don't give in to them, God is caring for you and has a place for you." But Thou O Lord art a shield about me, My glory and the One who lifts my head. I was crying to the Lord with my voice, and He answered me from His holy mountain. I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustains me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me round about." Psalm 3:3-6

  15. Rita...we live in West Michigan, around the Grand Rapids area...
We would be able to go a bit north, maybe 45 min. or so. If we go further we risk not seeing our kids...two of them are still quite young..22 and 19...so we feel we need to be fairly close in case of trouble or problems.

  16. I agree with you. We live in central Indiana so that would not help at all. I can still pray like I've never prayed before that you will have all that you need and more. Your blog is inspiring and helpful to others. Please continue to let us know how things are so we can all pray. Where 2 or 3 gather in prayer our prayers will be answered. Bless you as we follow your days.

  17. You are in our prayers sweet lady. We feel your pain and it make us realize just how blessed we are at the moment. For we realize that we too could be in your shoes next year. Lifes road is never set in stone. As I look around, I see many of our friends who live in travel trailers having lost homes in other states or are here working to pay for homes left behind. Some have family in tow, others are loney for their loved ones in at home in another state. A new chapter has opened up for you. I pray that your heart will be comforted and that you will be guide to a place where you can start again.

I pray that the Father of all ~ will give you, His daughter, all that you need ♥
Persevere and Persist ~ as did so many women of God...

  25. Still praying for you all Cindy. There is a door yet unseen or yet to be recognized, you will be taken care of. God does not leave us stranded but stands behind at times whispering, "this is the way, walk ye in it." (((Hugs)))

Just a thought... Have you considered getting some books and forcing yourself into acquiring a new knowledge or skill-set that is in demand? This is a great way to lift yourself up out of poverty. I did it some years ago, and I've known a few others too. Its not easy, it takes a lot of time, dedication, and coffee. It does work better than just hoping and praying though, and I mean that in all honesty not trying to be offensive at all.

  27. Cyn - do y'all want to come live with me for a while?

  28. I am praying that you will be content in plenty and in want. I am so sorry you are going through this trial. The greater the trial, the more capacity we have to minister to others who are in pain. I keep telling myself as I am facing my worst fears. I will someday be able to use this for His Glory.

    Love you!
