SNOWBOYS!!!!

Our grandson Austin spent the night here on Friday after having a "Snow Day" declared at over 370 local schools. His uncle Sam took him outside to build the 1st snowman of the season.

Here they are, trying to get coal to stick to the snowmans face.

Snowman on the left: $5 at a tag sale a couple years ago
Snowman on the right: created with love by our 17 year old son Sam, with his nephew.
PRICELESS!!

Memories made that the two of them will never forget.

How fun!! My kids always ask if there will be a snowday here sometime..but so far in the 4 and 1/2 days we have lived here there hasn't been. Most of the town is within close walking distance of the school anyhow..so unless the power was out at the school...no snow days.
What a fun day your boys had..I love the first snowman of winter! We still have snow on the ground from last week but too cold for it to be the nice snowman building kind..maybe this week!!

I love the seasons in Michigan, too: Spring, Summer and Fall, especially! Seriously, having a definite change in seasons adds to the quality of life here in the Upper Midwest. Snowman-making is good, fun and cold fun. Why don't we adults do it more often?
