SNOW DAY!

No school today, here, or anywhere around here.
Current temp: 5 degrees
Wind chill: minus 15-20
Wind gusts: up to 60mph
Road conditions: treacherous/hazardous

The sight of cardinals trying to feed in the high winds:
priceless

It's a heat wave here today...but much more snow coming tonight...and then maybe just maybe there will be a break.

My sis has six pair of cardinals nesting in her pines...gotta love their sweet disposition.

love the photos.

Several years ago, when I had to go to a zillion different mediators, counselors and guardian ad litem meetings with my ex-husband, I always used to see a cardinal either as I was walking in or from the window. I took it as God's reminder to me that He was there with me, that He's always there. So now cardinals have a huge meaning for me. I was excited to see one out your window! Blessings.. Polly

Hmmm... sorry, can't relate. We had temps in the 60's with the sun out all day. Of course, the winds were 20-40 mph in some places but the kids played outside and Cady even asked to swim. Crazy kid. i'll trade you places in July tho cuz' we'll be roasting! pray for me. I have another eye injection Friday afternoon. :(

I do love cardinals! They are so happy here in Houston too.

Cyn~ you deserve an adventure/sight seeing day here with me. Drop by and come along for the ride. It's a real cheap and fast flight here, just a click away, and you can visit a world famous place along with me. A good way to get out of the snow and no passport required either.
