Glass half-full...

Fuzzy

I think I am a "glass half-full" kind of gal.
In the midst of a LOT of snow, I am looking to spring.
In the midst of heartache, I am looking at not what I don't have, but what I do have.
In the midst of tribulation, I am looking at deliverance from my God.
And saying all of that reminds me of this....

Sophia

Prayer of St. Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
Amen.

In His peace,

Cindy

Thanks for sharing this prayer of his today. It is a good one to meditate on and see where our attitudes need adjusting.

Wonderful post Cindy! *Love* the poem/prayer you shared...it's and old one and very, very true! Aren't most old things that way? I think it's wonderful to be a glass half-full girl...I'd say that would be true about what I know of you. Come spring! :)

Sending love from Canada where it was nearing 50 degrees today. :)

Many blessings,
Camille

What a wise and beautiful prayer today, something we can all use and a way to examine motives, isn't it? You are such a sweet person, Cyn, and so is that adorable kitty cat, nothing like a kitty to make a house a home, especially in winter!
XOXO

Hi Cindy!
I was just thinking of you ~ so glad you "stopped by."
It does a heart good to be full ~ and not half empty...
I think of your winter and how spring will feel so good ~ new seeds ~ new life *
Will you be getting more chicks? I love seeing photos of "your girls" in the coop!

Cindy, are you reading Ann Voskamp's book? I am in the middle of chapter 3 and have been following along with the book club videos at inCourage. I remember finding Ann's blog through you. I am ever so grateful ♥
Wishing you a sweet weekend*
